UK Carriage

For all bottled beer, growlers and glass orders, these will be dispatched, via couriers APC overnight, on a LIQUID FRAGILE service.  For t-shirts, hoodies, gift bags and hats, these will be dispatched via the Post Office on a second class service. Standard delivery on all orders is up to 5 working days from order confirmation, however we will do our best to get it to you faster!

How our delivery system works

You will first receive an order confirmation e-mail, followed by a shipment confirmation e-mail from our courier giving you details of your delivery with a consignment number for you to track your order on the courier site.  When you are not in when delivery is made, a card will be left with contact details for you to arrange another delivery.   If the courier is not contacted, they will automatically try to deliver your order on the next two consecutive days, leaving a contact card on the first day and a card to advise of the consignment being returned to the depot on the second.

If you live in a multi-occupancy building, please can you make sure that we have correct contact details, access information and anything else you may feel necessary to assist in the delivery of your beer.  If your order cannot be delivered, your card to inform you that your order has been held - may not also get to your door.   They are not able to leave parcels in a communal area.

Should the goods then be returned to us after all attempts have failed, we will issue a full credit, or re-despatch on your instruction and the same delivery cost will be charged against your account. Alternatively on the third attempt the courier will deliver to a neighbour, you will then be carded and informed where the parcel has been left. We require a signature on all parcels delivered.

We are unable to offer Saturday deliveries.

Packaging -

We use bio-degradeable packing "peanuts" to envelope the beers in their shipping boxes; this is NOT POLYSTYRENE.   These starch-based packing peanuts were developed as a more environmentally friendly alternative, in the 1990's.

The starch in the peanuts comes from crop-based sources rather than petroleum-based polystyrene, and is non-toxic. Some are made from sorghum, other brands are made from corn starch. Being biodegradable and nontoxic, they are also safe for humans and pets to ingest accidentally. However, they are not produced in food-safe conditions, and are not recommended for eating.

Also, during the manufacturing process, the nutritional value is removed from starch-based packing peanuts. This removes edible components, such as sugars, that would otherwise attract rodents and bugs. Starch-based peanuts are soluble in water, we recommend as a bio-degradable in your compost heap.
